A North Carolina native, Dr. Amy Henneman is an associate professor of pharmacy practice at the Palm Beach Atlantic University Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy. Dr. Henneman teaches in disease prevention and the integrated pharmacotherapy sequence.In addition, she is the PGY-1 pharmacy residency program director. She is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPS) and practices in ambulatory care. She is chair of the Residency Advocacy Committee and a member of the Continuing Education Committee within the School of Pharmacy. Dr. Henneman is faculty co-advisor for the National Community Pharmacy Association chapter at the Gregory School of Pharmacy. She currently serves as the administrator of MedData Services, a medication assistance program for Palm Beach County funded by a grant from the Quantum Foundation of West Palm Beach. Dr. Henneman is active in the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (ASHP), and is a member of their educational steering committee. She received a bachelor of science in biology at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Ga., followed by completion of the doctor of pharmacy program at Palm Beach Atlantic University. She completed a post-graduate general practice residency at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center. Her residency provided various practice experiences in both the inpatient and ambulatory care settings in addition to opportunities to precept pharmacy students. Dr. Henneman is blessed to be able to return to PBA to assist in the training of future generations of pharmacists.
