Dr. Elder joins the Gregory School of Pharmacy at Palm Beach Atlantic University after
working as a hematology/oncology clinical pharmacist at the Cone Health Cancer Center
in Greensboro, North Carolina. He completed his undergraduate work with a B.S. in
biochemistry from Point Loma Nazarene University, followed by completing his doctor
of pharmacy degree at South University. With a strong passion for patient care and
clinical pharmacy, Dr. Elder completed both a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency and
a PGY-2 hematology/oncology residency at Moses H. Cone Health System. During his time
working at the Cone Health Cancer Center, Dr. Elder developed a pharmacist-operated
oral chemotherapy clinic. Dr. Elder is a board certified oncology pharmacist (BCOP).
His areas of expertise and research interests include: oral chemotherapy management,
patient education, patient safety, and immuno-oncology. Dr. Elder is excited to join
the PBA Gregory School of Pharmacy as an assistant professor and use his skills and
experiences to serve his students and fellow faculty members.
