B.A., English, Randolph-Macon College; M.A., English, SUNY at New Paltz.
After a long career in many facets of the hospitality industry, Mr. Donner returned to his first love, teaching. Since 1998 he has taught at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, Broward Community College and Palm Beach Community College. He is well-known locally for his “Mr. Carl” column which appeared weekly in many South Florida newspapers for fourteen years. He has also written numerous feature articles for regional magazines. At present, Mr. Donner is at work on a series of Bible commentaries for use in the small group Bible studies that he teaches. In addition to being a popular speaker, he is also a regular contributor to the Web magazine, "UrbanBoomer.com." He and his wife attend South Palm Beach Community Church and have one daughter who is a teacher and athletic trainer. Mr. Donner’s passion outside the classroom is fly fishing.
