Dr. Church is a Florida native, and joins the Gregory School of Pharmacy at Palm Beach Atlantic University after working as an assistant professor in the department of clinical and administrative sciences at Larkin University College of Pharmacy in Miami, FL. Dr. Church completed both her PGY1 in pharmacy practice and PGY2 in psychiatric pharmacy at the West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Center. During these two residency years, she gained outpatient and inpatient clinical training in a variety of settings, with a special interest in psychiatry and ambulatory care. She has a strong passion for psychiatry and deeply desires to optimize patient care and reduce stigmas in the realm of mental health. During her PGY2 she served on an interprofessional healthcare team, sparking her interest for interprofessional education (IPE). As a result, she has diligently worked to implement and build IPE opportunities for the students at her current university. Dr. Church is a board-certified pharmacist in pharmacotherapy (BCPS) and psychiatry (BCPP). She is actively involved in the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP), the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Her research areas of interest include interprofessional education, scholarship of teaching and learning, and neuropsychiatry. She is very active in her church, is an avid Gator fan, and enjoys doing art projects in her free time. As an alumna, Dr. Church is thrilled to be returning to PBA, and hopes to make a lasting impact on her students, creatively collaborating with her colleagues and serving the community locally and abroad.
