Audition Process

Admission to programs of study in the Department of Theatre at Palm Beach Atlantic UniversityAdmission to programs of study in the Department of Theatre are by audition only. Auditions for the Theatre Arts- Acting for Stage and Screen track (and theatre arts minor) consist of two contrasting monologues one minute in length. Students auditioning for the Theatre Arts- Musical Theatre track (and musical theatre minor) should present a musical theatre song and a one-minute monologue. Musical Theatre majors must bring sheet music in their chosen key as an accompanist will be provided (a CD or MP3 will suffice).  

The audition process will involve an interview with Theatre faculty and a question-and-answer session.

To complete an application, first please fill out our Prospective Student Information Form and select your audtion date. Afterward, visit the admissions page to apply online and don't forget to schedule a visit

*All auditions will be held from 11 a.m. - noon at PBA's Fern Street Theatre, located at 500 Fern Street, West Palm Beach, FL 33416

Collective Auditions

PBA representatives will be at the following collective auditions: 

  • Florida Theatre Conference, Oct. 24-27, 2018 (Gainesville, FL)
  • Southeastern Theatre Conference, Feb. 27- March 2, 2019 (Knoxville, TN)

*PBA Theatre may consider applicants participating in FTC or SETC as your audition. Contact us for futher details.
