Decisions, decisions, decisions! In spite of so many changes that have taken place due to COVID-19, we have decisions to make. There have been so many cancelations. Meetings, events, trips, you name it! Thankfully, Easter Sunday will never be canceled! HE IS RISEN!
There are two very important gardens in the Bible where decisions were made. These two gardens had two people making decisions that impact us every day. Two gardens. Two decisions. Two very different results. In the Garden of Eden, Adam disobeys the Father and brings condemnation to all. In Gethsemane, Jesus obeys the Father and provides justification to all who believe. Adam’s decision to eat the fruit brought consequences to himself and mankind. Jesus decision to drink the cup has the potential to bring life (Matt 26:36-39)!
Romans 5:18, “So then, as through one trespass there is condemnation for everyone, so also through one righteous act there is justification leading to life for everyone.”
In the same way your decisions have significant implications. It is said that, “You can count the seeds in an apple, but you cannot count the apples in a seed!” Only God knows the unlimited potential inside each decision we make, even during COVID-19. How will you decide?
As we celebrate Holy Week a little differently this year, and consider what took place on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, let’s remember to be grateful for Jesus who paid the ultimate price for you and for me. He made the right choice! Let’s also follow his example in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Choose faith over fear! Choose hope over helplessness! Choose perseverance over pessimism. Choose worship over worry!
We love you and love serving you!
