About Emma Lehner
Emma Lehner, a member of the Tanzanian National Athletics Association, moved to Germany in 1986 to study physical therapy. After working with patients for a decade, she realized her passion was in preventative care.
She turned her attention to fitness, owning a conventional gym located in Munich. Her experience using electrical muscular stimulation (EMS) allowed her to incorporate that treatment into a fitness workout.
In 2007, Emma and her husband, Matthais, established Bodystreet, the world’s largest EMS boutique fitness concept on the market. Today, there are 300 studios in seven countries.
Bodystreet’s philosophy values sustainability through ecologic practices and minimalism by spending less on resources. In recognition, the company has won the Germany Fairness Award for five consecutive years.
