You delight in making “a joyful noise unto the Lord.” You want to bring your passion and commitment to music to life — in your studies and beyond. As a student in PBA’s music department, you can do just that — and more.
As a student in PBA's music department, you may choose from the following programs:
At PBA you'll:
You’ll learn in the elegant Vera Lea Rinker Hall, featuring the 160-seat Helen K. Persson Recital Hall with acoustics that rival the best Italian opera houses. The facility also houses the Instrumental Rehearsal Hall, which is large enough for full symphony orchestra and symphonic band rehearsals, and the Percussion Studio. You’ll have access to a smaller ensemble rehearsal room, a computer/piano lab with 13 workstations, three composition labs, 15 soundproof practice rooms with “smart music” hookups and the most advanced software and technology.
You’ll learn from seasoned performers, including a faculty member who has performed as a soloist throughout Central and South America and served as principal second violin with the National Chamber Players. Another earned a master’s degree at The Juilliard School and has performed with orchestras at the Music Academy of the West, Princeton University, University of Miami and the Miami Pops.
