Admission to programs of study in the Department of Theatre are by audition only.
Auditions for the Theatre Arts- Acting for Stage and Screen track (and theatre arts
minor) consist of two contrasting monologues one minute in length. Students auditioning
for the Theatre Arts – Musical Theatre track (and musical theatre minor) should present
a musical theatre song, 16 to 32 bars, and a one-minute monologue. Musical Theatre
majors and minors must bring sheet music in their chosen key as an accompanist will
be provided.
The audition process will involve an interview with Theatre faculty and a question-and-answer
session.
