PBA gives you the foundation with a multi-disciplinary approach to study, coupled with a classroom that spans the world. Your light develops and grows as you acquire the skills of an economist, policy expert, entrepreneur, philosopher and theologian. Our program delivers specific benefits such as: 

  • An accelerated program where you earn 41 graduate credits that can be completed in two years.
  • Coursework that provides a multi-disciplinary approach to development with focus on markets, government policy and human flourishing. 
  • A dynamic learning environment that combines classroom studies with an International fieldwork placement. 
  • An innovative approach to the subject that emphasizes workable solutions. 
  • Opportunities for students to customize the program by selecting a concentration in Applied Cultural Studies, Development Economics or Finance Policy. 
  • The program entry point is fall (August) with an application deadline of July 1
  1. Earn a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution. 
  2. Achieve cumulative undergraduate minimum GPA of 2.75 or above on a 4.0 scale. 
  3. One undergraduate course in economics.
  4. Submit:
  • A completed online application and $50 nonrefundable fee (Click on the drop-down arrow to select the Graduate application.)
  • Official transcript from college/university where bachelor's degree was conferred and from college/university where prerequisite courses were taken 
  • Two confidential recommendations
  • A statement of intent describing your reasons for applying to the program in Global Development. This statement should include any international experience you have, your preference for concentration of study, and your career aspirations after graduation. 
  • Informed consent form. 
  • For students seeking entry from a country where English is not the primary language, a minimum TOEFL score of 79 or IELTS score of 6.5 is required. 
  1. Faculty Interview - Once candidates submit all required documents, the complete application is review by the Graduate Admissions Committee to determine invitations for an interview. Interviews may be conducted via Skype or telephone call. 

* International students should inquire about additional admissions requirements. 

Admissions Decision and Notification:

Applicants will be notified in writing of the Graduate Admissions Committee's decision within two weeks after completing the interview. To secure a spot in the program, accepted students must, no later than 30 days before classes begin, submit:

  • A non-refundable $100 deposit, which is applied to tuition upon enrollment
