The Center for Integrative Science Learning at Palm Beach Atlantic is hosting this year’s Science Days, which will consist of a Science Exploration Camp for elementary school students and Science Camp for students in middle school. Participants in the Science Camp will take part in daily laboratory experiments led by PBA faculty.

Each day of the camp will center on a specific theme, including rocks, minerals and fossils; the body, nutrition and exercise; the environment; animals; and genetics and forensics.

“We want to show children that there is more to science than what they might have experienced up to now, and that being a true scientist begins with opening your mind to all sorts of inquiries. The themes we will cover will show them just that,” said Dr. Mireille Aleman, assistant professor of chemistry and director of Science Days at PBA.

Recreation time in PBA’s Greene Complex for Sports and Recreation will be part of the daily activities. Extended care will be available from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and from 3:30-5 p.m. The cost per child is $175, which will include snacks and a T-shirt.
