Warren Library  

Dean/Director

Summary: The Warren Library at Palm Beach Atlantic University announces the search for a well-qualified individual to fill the open position of Dean or Director of the Library. The Dean or Director of the Library is the administrator of the Warren Library and reports directly to the Provost. The Dean or Director is responsible for providing leadership and administrative oversight for all operations and programs of the library.  The Dean or Director makes recommendations regarding the academic budget and personnel within the library and ensures that all aspects of the library operate within institutional policies.  The Dean or Director is responsible for shaping a shared vision for library resources, services, and facilities in support of the academic programs and mission of the University. Position title and additional responsibilities are dependent on qualifications.  

Qualifications:  This position requires a graduate degree in library science or a similar degree from an ALA-accredited graduate school and several years of increasingly-responsible positions in academic libraries, including supervisory experience. For the position title of Dean, an additional graduate degree is required. The successful candidate must have the oral, written, and interpersonal skills required to be an effective leader of a team-based organization. Qualified candidates must also demonstrate strong Christian commitment as evidenced by local church involvement and the ability to integrate faith with day-to-day job performance.


Gregory School of Pharmacy

Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice
Type: Full-Time Faculty

Palm Beach Atlantic University's Gregory School of Pharmacy seeks a 12 month, full-time faculty member for a position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for didactic teaching in courses/topics appropriate to the candidate's expertise, with a desired emphasis on internal medicine/inpatient care. The candidate will additionally develop and/or maintain a successful clinical experiential practice at a local healthcare facility, contribute to operational aspects of the School of Pharmacy, and engage in research/scholarship in the associated areas of expertise. 

Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency. A PGY-2 and/or academic experience in Internal Medicine is preferred. The candidate must be eligible for licensure in Florida. The candidate must demonstrate a Christian commitment and a willingness to integrate one's faith into teaching and mentorship. 

Assistant/Associate Professor of Social and Administrative Sciences

Minimum Palm Beach Atlantic University's Gregory School of Pharmacy seeks a 12 month, full-time faculty member for a position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor.

The successful candidate will be responsible for didactic teaching in courses/topics in the Social and Administrative Sciences. The candidate will contribute to operational aspects of the School of Pharmacy, and engage in research/scholarship in the associated areas of expertise. Training and/or specific experience in Pharmacy is preferred.

Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a PhD in Social and Administrative Sciences or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and an ASHP - accredited PGY-1 residency (Pharmacoeconomics focus desired). School of Arts & Sciences

Assistant/Associate Professor of Political Economy

The School of Arts & Sciences is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Political Economy. The faculty member would offer both graduate and undergraduate political economy classes focusing primarily on development economics, international economics, development policy, and international relations. Most teaching responsibilities are for the graduate Global Development program, which offers students the opportunity to study global development in an applied and academically diverse setting. Of particular interest are candidates who can demonstrate cross-disciplinary work and the application of those studies to the likely career paths of our graduate students. Foreign development experience highly desirable. A record of work in development studies or sustainability studies is preferred, though experience in other related fields will be considered. A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is required. 

Assistant/Associate Professor of English

The School of Arts & Sciences is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of English. 

Qualifications: Assistant/ Associate Professor of English. Training and experience in teaching Writing for Digital Media and New Literacies are strongly preferred. Applicants must also be prepared to teach courses in literature, composition, and/or interdisciplinary humanities as part of a 4/4 teaching load. 


Applicants with a Ph.D. in Composition/Rhetoric or English Literature by the time of appointment, with relevant teaching experience and research record, are preferred. Applicants holding an M.A. degree and currently nearing completion of a doctorate in English also will be considered. Applicants must have an active Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework. 


The successful candidate is expected to have a passion for teaching, and a strong commitment to teaching excellence and service to the Department, the University, and the community. This is a full-time faculty position that requires evening availability since courses in the Counseling program for working professionals are taught in the evenings.  Faculty members are expected to have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and advising, be active scholars in their fields, participate in service to the university and the broader community, and demonstrate a commitment to the Christian faith. 


Qualifications:  An earned Doctorate from a CACREP accredited counselor education program. Experience: Appropriate teaching experience with research capability. Counseling provider license/credentials.

Qualifications: Required to hold a doctoral degree in business with a management or international business major, preferably from an AACSB accredited business school. Candidates must have 18 graduate credit hours in management or international business. Those applicants not currently holding a terminal degree must have clear evidence of an expected completion of the doctoral degree prior to the start date.  Evidence of a planned scholarly agenda consistent with expectations of an AACSB-accredited program is required.  Applicants must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework. PBA’s Department of Psychology in the School of Arts and Sciences is seeking a dynamic educator to join our department at the university’s campus in Orlando, Florida.  This is a full-time faculty position with administrative responsibilities.  It requires day and evening availability since courses in the psychology program for working professionals are taught in the evenings. 

Faculty members are expected to have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, mentoring, and advising, be active scholars in their fields, participate in service to the university and the broader community, and demonstrate a commitment to the Christian faith. 

The successful applicant will have experience teaching some of the following psychology undergraduate courses: General Psychology, Lifespan Development, Personality Theories, History of Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Procedures in Counseling, Statistics and Research Methods in Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Integration of Psychology and Christianity, Psychology of Religion, Research Practicum, or other psychology electives.  A doctorate in psychology is required. 

The faculty member will also be responsible for overseeing the undergraduate psychology program at this campus.  Successful candidates will have experience in leadership and administration.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Leadership

This is a full-time faculty position within the MacArthur School of Leadership at the Orlando campus that will require teaching, advising and appropriate faculty involvement. Responsibilities include teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, this position will include advising responsibility for all leadership students. School of Ministry

Assistant/Associate Professor of Intercultural Studies

The School of Ministry is seeking applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Intercultural Studies. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate intercultural studies courses. In addition, s/he will teach general education biblical/theological courses. A Ph.D., Th.D. or D.Miss. is required in intercultural studies or missions or perhaps theology with a secondary focus in history or ministry. International ministry experience is required, with preference given to ministry experience in Asia or Africa. Must have a Christian commitment along with the ability to intentionally integrate Christian faith in coursework. Assistant/Associate Professor of Ministry Leadership Studies

This position requires a Ph.D. (or terminal academic degree) in Ministry, Christian Education, Practical Theology, or related disciplines. Minimum of 5 years of full-time church-based experience is required. Experience teaching upper-level undergraduate or graduate courses in Ministry desired. Experience working with individuals and groups from diverse (multicultural) backgrounds, as well as bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is desired. Background in student and/or children’s ministry is a plus, but not essential. Must have a Christian commitment along with the ability to intentionally integrate Christian faith in coursework.
