Biography
Dr. Witmer’s interests include beach ecology, neritic oceanography, animal behavior, and environmental conservation. Her research examines natural and anthropogenic beach ecosystem disturbances, with specific attention given towards biogeomorphological processes. Current and future research topics include disturbance effects, meta-community interactions, and beach ecosystem health.
