Biography

Dr. Andrassy began her nursing career as a medical surgical registered nurse at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. She has further experience working as a pediatric psychiatric registered nurse at Sandy Pines Residential Treatment Center. During her time in Palm Beach Atlantic’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program, she developed a passion for equipping the next generation and pursued teaching at PBA as an adjunct faculty member. Over the past two years as adjunct faculty she has taught health assessment and nursing technical skills. As an adjunct clinical instructor she has assisted with community nursing, fundamentals of nursing, mental health nursing, and the senior preceptorship. Dr. Andrassy is head of medical at Surfers for Autism, a local non-profit that introduces children with developmental delays to therapeutic surfing. Her scholarly project focused on Enhancing Social Interaction for Children with Autism. She and her husband, Robbie Andrassy, a PBA School of Ministry alumnus, have led the School of Nursing spring break medical mission trip to El Salvador for the past five years. They are both serving members at Truth Point Church in West Palm Beach, where Robbie is on staff as the student ministry director.
