Ministry: Worship Ministries Concentration

A major in Ministry with a Worship Ministries Concentration will provide you the knowledge, skills and character necessary for leading an effective worship ministry within a church or parachurch.

Courses concentrate on providing biblical and theological foundations for meaningful worship, and the production skills needed for worship ministries. With this major you can also expect to develop organizational and administrative competencies along with growth in your propensity to nurture and care for others.

Students may begin to apply for admission after their junior year in high school, and must submit a non-refundable $50 application fee, a 300-500 word essay that details the intersection of the applicant’s faith journey with his or her collegiate goals, their high school transcripts, and their scores on the SAT or ACT.

 With a Worship Ministries Concentration you'll:

  • Receive effective training in leading a worship arts ministry, including hymnology and worship music.
  • Receive hands-on experience in the technicalities of production, audio/visual, lighting and staging.
  • Enhance your knowledge and skills through clubs and organizations.
  • Collaborate with fellow students who come from across the country and around the world.
