Palm Beach Atlantic University is ranked 44th among the best universities in the South according to U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges 2014 edition released today.

Palm Beach Atlantic, which is tied with Shenandoah University in Virginia, moved up in this year’s rankings from 50th last year.
“The ranking from the highly-respected U.S. News survey is another blessing on Palm Beach Atlantic as we enter our 46th academic year with record enrollment and plans to begin competition on our new Rinker Athletic Campus,” President William M. B. Fleming Jr. said. “Our Christ-first community looks to a bright future built on its traditions of volunteer service and free enterprise.”
U.S. News gathers data from each college on up to 16 indicators of academic excellence. Each factor is assigned a weight that reflects a judgment about how much a measure matters. Finally, the colleges and universities in each category are ranked against their peers, based on their composite weighted score.
