Since its inception, strong Christians who are also visionaries and people of integrity have led Palm Beach Atlantic University. At PBA, we believe our mission and vision should be expressed through our leaders:

President

Interim President William M.B. Fleming Jr., 59, is well known in Florida and in higher education circles nationwide. He joined Palm Beach Atlantic in 1992 as vice president of development. Previously he served in several administrative roles at Wingate University and Guilford College, both in North Carolina.

“Bill is a man of quiet strength who will fill the role as interim president well while the University embarks on a comprehensive search for its eighth president,” Board of Trustees Chairman Robert Simpson said of the March 10, 2011 appointment. “When his name was introduced, the board of trustees was in unanimous agreement that Bill Fleming has a complete understanding of the University’s mission and values, and can maintain the University’s culture and valued traditions.”

Provost
Dr. Joseph A. Kloba was appointed PBA’s provost and chief academic officer on Aug. 1, 2003. Prior to that, Dr. Kloba was PBA’s associate provost and also served as the director of the graduate counseling psychology program and as a professor of psychology. He oversees a staff of 157 full-time and 120 part-time faculty. Dr. Kloba is part of PBA’s Administrative Cabinet, which offers counsel and support to the president.
