At Palm Beach Atlantic University, we support transfer students in their transition through a number of academic and social pathways. Support services such as Transfer Advising, Transfer Club and Transfer Peer Mentors are all offered to provide opportunities for students to navigate through college as they begin their PBA journey.
The Transfer Advisor is available to assist with transcript evaluations, first semester registration, degree planning and guiding students through academic policies and procedures. Academic planning can be intimidating when it comes to sorting out transfer credits and where they fit in the degree plan. The Transfer Advisor can help students start on the right path in their PBA career. Students can contact the Student Success Center by phone at (561) 803-2063 or email at Student_Success@pba.edu to meet with the transfer advisor.
Transfer students are encouraged to become a member of Transfer Club, a vibrant organization designed to help transfer students academically, socially and spiritually. The club meets twice a month and holds activities both on and off campus, such as social events, fundraising and Workship projects. Past events have included ice skating, movie night, Boomers (a center with go-karts, laser tag, arcade and mini-golf), the South Florida Fair, a Miami Heat game and even trips to Disney World and Universal Studios.
MAST (Mentors Assisting Sailfish Transfers) allows new transfers to have a current transfer student come alongside them before they start classes through the fall semester of their first year. The Mentor functions as a guide to help new students with general questions about PBA life, alleviate confusion, adjust to a new environment, make connections early on campus and feel empowered for their success. Learn the ins and outs of being a Sailfish from an experienced transfer student.
