Dr. Scot McKnight to Keynote Church Leaders Conference

Dr. Scot McKnight, Jesus Creed blog author, speaker, writer and professor, is the keynote speaker for Synergoi; Church Leaders Conference set for Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at Palm Beach Atlantic University. The one-day conference for pastors and church leaders provides opportunities for professional and spiritual development. In addition to Dr. McKnight, Palm Beach Atlantic University School of Ministry faculty will present additional workshops.

The event gets under way at 9 a.m. in MacArthur Hall on the Palm Beach Atlantic University campus in West Palm Beach. Cost of registration is $15 and includes lunch. Dr. McKnight is a recognized authority on the historical Jesus, early Christianity, the New Testament, the emerging church and missional church movements, spiritual formation and Christian living. A sought after speaker, he has been interviewed on several radio and television programs as well as spoken at numerous local churches, conferences, colleges and seminaries in the United States and around the world.

With more than 20 books to his credit, Dr. McKnight’s book, "The Jesus Creed," won the Christianity Today book award for 2004 in the area of Christian living and has spawned a number of popular small group studies and a DVD series. Presently, he is professor of New Testament at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, Ill. Previously, Dr. McKnight taught at North Park University and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
