About SIFE
SIFE is an international nonprofit organization that works with business and higher education leaders to mobilize students to develop outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for those in need. The goal of each project is to develop strong relationships with businesses and to present projects at annual regional and national SIFE competitions.

PBA’s SIFE Team
PBA has an active — and successful — SIFE team, one that has a rich history of winning the regional SIFE competitions and advancing to the national expositions. Projects are judged on creativity, innovation and effectiveness.

Past projects have included:

    FACTOID
    As of August 31, 2010, there were 48,000 SIFE students serving on 1,500 active teams in 39 countries, resulting in 8,700 team projects and 4,900,000 student volunteer hours.
         
  • Developing a business plan for a Moroccan family so that they could become self sufficient, which included a trip to Nouaceur outside of Casablanca to collaborate with a SIFE team there and visit the family’s home
  • Creating a scholarship program committed to empowering high school students to achieve their academic dreams
  • Demonstrating the importance of understanding the market, investing skills, and ethical trading practices through a competitive online stock-trading contest
  • Developing a documentary promoting Palm Beach County’s strategic plan to end homelessness
