It is our goal as preceptors to nurture residents in their knowledge, skills, commitment and insight. We are preparing pharmacy clinicians for any of the following: patient care positions, academia and PGY2 training in ambulatory care.
Instructional Design and Organization
The PBA Pharmacy Practice Residency is divided into nine core training themes. Diverse activities have been designed within each core training theme to ensure maximal learning opportunities. One residency director and three co-preceptors oversee the resident training experiences.
Eight Core Training Themes (CTT's):
The residency is divided into two six-month blocks. All rotations are four-week blocks with the exception of Ambulatory Care and Internal Medicine, which are five-week blocks each. A primary preceptor will supervise the resident's day-to-day activities, however the resident will interact with other preceptors throughout longitudinal activities (drug information, institutional practice), and electives.

Accreditation
The residency program has received a six-year accreditation by the Accreditation division of the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists.
