Scholarships
Scholarships can go a long way to help cover educational expenses. PBA offers a variety of merit-based scholarships for academic excellence and talent in athletics, dance, music and theatre. State scholarships are also available to eligible residents. Additionally, outside scholarships are a great resource for students who are planning for success.
PBA Scholarships
PBA Merit Scholarship
Amount: Determined by academic achievements
The Office of Admissions automatically awards the PBA Merit Scholarship to incoming full time day undergraduates at the time the student is admitted to Palm Beach Atlantic University. Eligibility requirements are based upon prior academic achievement and test scores. Students can receive this scholarship for up to 9 semesters provided that they maintain satisfactory academic progress.
PBA Assistance Scholarship
Amount: Determined by financial need
The Financial Aid Office awards the PBA Assistance Scholarship to incoming full time day undergraduates who demonstrate exceptional financial need. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required.
PBA Early Action Scholarship
Amount: $3,000
To qualify, students must be a junior in high school and submit all application material by March 31st of their junior year. A 1250 on the SAT (without the writing section) and/or a 28 on the ACT and a 3.5 GPA is required. See complete requirements for additional details or contact Jennifer_Stoltzfus@pba.edu.
PBA Dual Enrolled Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
One student from each Dual Enrollment Program school will be awarded this non-transferable scholarship above and beyond other PBA financial aid and scholarships (not to exceed the cost of attendance). Applicants must achieve a 3.8 unweighted GPA in PBA courses, complete at least 2 dual enrollment courses from PBA, be an eligible graduating senior, and obtain acceptance to PBA for the fall term immediately following high school graduation.

PBA Alumni Scholarship
Amount: $1,500
You may apply for the Alumni Scholarship if you are related to or friends with a PBA alum. This scholarship is renewable for up to seven semesters if the recipient remains in good academic standing at PBA. Recipients are chosen primarily upon an applicant's relationship to an alum and financial need, GPA, and community services.

Farish Scholars Program
Amount: Full tuition only scholarship
The Farish Scholars Program is a non-transferable scholarship, which in combination with other PBA and state aid, guarantees a full tuition only scholarship. Additional need based aid may be applied to room and board changes. To qualify, an applicant must have a 3.5 GPA, SAT test score of 1380 (ACT of 31), be an incoming freshman, a Florida resident, and exhibit extensive community involvement. This is a competitive scholarship that requires an in-person interview.

Barbara H. Ferrin Endowed Scholarship
Amount: $2,000
To qualify, incoming freshman must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.5, have a minimum SAT score of 1250 (or ACT score of 28) and major in either English, History, Political Science, Pre-Law or Philosophy. This scholarship is renewable for an additional 3 years if the recipient remains in one of the designated majors and maintains a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Student Leadership University (SLU)
Amount: $2,000
Palm Beach Atlantic University recognizes past attendees to the Student Leadership University conference by providing a renewable institutional scholarship. Applications for the SLU scholarship must have attended SLU prior to their enrollment at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK)
Amount: $2,000
Palm Beach Atlantic University recognizes members of the Phi Theta Kappa honors society by providing a renewable institutional scholarship. This scholarship is only renewable for up to five semesters.

Endowed Scholarships
Palm Beach Atlantic University has been blessed by many philanthropic individuals and organizations with endowed scholarship funds. These funds have been appropriately invested to maximize the effectiveness in assisting students in reaching their academic endeavors. Currently the institution awards these funds primarily to our returning student population, recognizing academic excellence and financial need. Several endowed scholarship and grants have specific eligibility requirements and may require a separate application process. To apply, please visit the Financial Aid Office and request an Endowed Scholarship Application. The priority deadline for the 2012-13 school year is May 1st. Applications will still be accepted until August 1st, but with limited awarding potential.
