For the second consecutive year, Palm Beach Atlantic University was named the winner of the Online Course of the Year Award with a perfect score of 120/120 at the Association of Christian Distance Education (ACCESS) Conference held March 3-6 at Abilene Christian University.
“Spiritual Formation” was designed and developed by Dr. Nathan Maxwell and Dr. Victor Copan. A second course, “General Psychology,” was designed and developed by Rick Hubbard and Dr. Nick Palmieri and received a score of 119/120.
The judge for these courses commented: “I am not an expert on the content areas covered, however, the technical component, ease of use, layout and quality of these courses is incredible. I wish every online course was this well presented! Well done!”
Members are invited to submit newly developed courses for peer-reviewed judging. Courses may be designed in three categories: Independent Study, Online Course or Hybrid Class.
Pat Bassett, director of online learning, represented PBA Online at the conference. ACCESS is a network of Christian organizations characterized by a commitment to make higher education accessible.
