Several hospitals have internships and externships available:
Many thanks to the Palm Beach Medical Center for donating critical care and medical-surgical equipment to the Learning Resource Center, including such items as chest tubes and central access lines.
Jupiter Medical Center awarded a scholarship to one PBA nursing student. Upon graduating, the student worked at Jupiter Medical Center.
Many thanks to the Palm Healthcare Foundation for its generous grant to help build and equip the Nursing Learning Resource Center and simulation lab. The Learning Resource Center was then named the "Palm Healthcare Nursing Learning Resource Center." PBA's partnership with Palm Healthcare continues as several of its faculty members work with the foundation in several projects.
Four local Tenet hospitals each donated $200,000 for nursing scholarships. In return for receiving the scholarships, students work a minimum of one year at one of the following: Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital and Delray Medical Center.
