        Palm Beach Atlantic University's choir performs in the DeSantis Family Chapel on the main campus in West Palm Beach.

Your instrument is your voice. Singing is a special talent of yours, and you want a career that allows you to use your gift. A major in Voice Performance at Palm Beach Atlantic University will prepare you as a performer or private teacher. You can pursue a career in music ministries, opera, musical theater or other performance related fields. Hands on performing experience, specialized singing classes in vocal pedagogy and French and German language classes are a few of the reasons why you will be adequately prepared for a successful career in the arts. PBA's music program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.

Your Faculty

You’ll learn from seasoned performers, including a faculty member who earned a master’s degree at The Juilliard School and has performed with orchestras at the Music Academy of the West, Princeton University, University of Miami and the Miami Pops. Also, a faculty member who has performed as a soloist throughout Central and South America and served as principal second violin with the National Chamber Players.

 

Your Opportunities

Upon graduation, you have the option of continuing to graduate school to further develop your voice. Or, if you decide to begin your career, possibilities include:
