Psychology

The psychology program at PBA will educate its students in methods and content of scientific psychology.

The undergraduate psychology program at Palm Beach Atlantic University will educate you in the content and methods of various sub-specialty areas of scientific psychology, and will critically evaluate them from a Christian perspective.

The Christian focus of the department will enable you to investigate the full range of secular psychology. The department presents the secular and biblical aspects of psychology in an integrative manner. The faculty is also committed to ongoing efforts to be informed of current developments and trends in psychology.  You will be encouraged to examine the relationship between psychology and other disciplines, as well as, encouraged to pursue professional and graduate level education.

Your Opportunities

Earning a bachelor's degree in psychology will fully equip you to pursue professional and graduate level education.  If going into the work force, you'll be prepared for jobs such as a:

  • Career Counselor
  • Rehabilitation Specialist
  • Case Manager
  • Psychiatric Technician

Your understanding of human behavior, and development of interpersonal skills can also open doors for you in the communication field. Possible career areas include marketing and sales.
