School of Music & Fine Arts

Porfolio Process in the PBA Art Department

In addition to PBA application procedures, prospective students seeking to major in art must file an application with the School of Music and Fine Arts. Prospective students must submit a portfolio to be evaluated by the Art faculty. Portfolios (electronic or otherwise) are submitted through the Auditions Coordinator in the School of Music and Fine Arts to the Chair of the Department of Art. A phone or live interview may also be required.

Students admitted must maintain a 2.75 GPA for all classes within the major. Portfolios should be received at least six weeks before the beginning of your first term. Portfolios should contain two or three significant projects from high school and/or community experiences. Transfer students must submit portfolios with significantly more material as early as possible.
