The clock tower at the eastern end of Worth Avenue, overlooking the Atlantic, is a landmark on the island of Palm Beach. Students often walk over to enjoy sunrise prayer or Bible study by the ocean.
Palm Beach Atlantic University has come a long way from "Make-Do U" in 1968 to become one of Florida's top Christian universities with nearly 4,000 students and a 29-acre campus on the water in downtown West Palm Beach, plus the nearby 78-acre Rinker Athletic Campus. Still, with a mere 13-1 student-to-faculty ratio, PBA continues to offer a very personalized education. University President William M.B. Fleming Jr. personifies that in his relationship with students.
