Palm Beach Atlantic University student-athletes gave a helping hand Feb. 23, 2012 during Conniston Community Middle School’s FCAT Family Night Extravaganza. Free dinner was served compliments of Tim Gannon, the co-founder of Outback Steakhouse and creator of the nonprofit organization Kettle Comfort. The organization committed to using kettle equipment and technology to feed 20,000-30,000 people per day. Conniston is a neighbor of PBA’s Marshall and Vera Lea Rinker Athletic Campus in West Palm Beach. PBA has engaged in a community partnership called the Parker Avenue Consortium, which benefits the families living in the vicinity of the athletic campus.
