Exercise Science

The exercise science major provides a solid foundation for a student who is interested in studying the effects of exercise on the body's pathology, and learning how exercise can reduce or reverse disease progression.

Courses will include anatomy, kinesiology, exercise physiology and biomechanics, exercise nutrition and growth and development.

The program of study also includes other science courses such as biology, chemistry and physics.

The exercise science program prepares students for graduate level degrees by completing prerequisites for programs in occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant and rehabilitation programs.
