International and Multicultural Programs
International and Multicultural Programs, a part of the Center for Campus Connections, at Palm Beach Atlantic University is here to help international and multicultural students like you to deepen your connection to PBA as well as to help you share your unique culture with our community.
Activities and Events:
Got Culture? Week
A week of campus and community events surrounding various cultures. The Fresh Food Company also partners to make a themed dinner each night in the cafeteria with a different type of ethnic food. We proudly fly flags from around the world to showcase the culturally diverse background of students who call PBA their home. Events such as Culture Fest and a trip to the Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens also take place during Got Culture? Week.
We host monthly international dinners for all students to attend. Each month we chose a different country to represent and theme the decorations and food to match the country. It is a time of fun, fellowship, and a chance to meet someone new. All are invited to attend free of charge, RSVP is required.
All of the multicultural club and organization leaders are asked to participate as well as anyone else who is interested, including mission teams. Students set up displays of their home country along with food, drink, cultural outfits and anything else to represent. Henna, glitter tattoos, sumo wrestling, a juggling station and a photo booth with many flags are among the activities offered at the International Festival.
This traditional event is open to all PBA students. We allow students the chance to make their own special salsa recipes and compete for the best salsa on campus. We love to invite judges from the local community as well as faculty and staff. Members from the S.A.L.S.A. club also teach salsa dancing lessons during the competition.
