Health & Wellness Center

Our Health and Wellness Center offers free and low-cost medical services to students, including first aid, physicals, women's healthcare and more.

Health and Wellness provides medical care and mental health support to PBA students through our Health Center and our Counseling Center.  We are staffed with full time licensed medical and mental health professionals. 

As a ministry to the Palm Beach Atlantic University community, our mission is to promote physical, mental and spiritual health and well-being.  Our desire is to provide services from a Christ-centered perspective, enabling each member to fulfill academic, personal, and spiritual goals.

Location

The Health Center is located at the southwest corner of Oceanview Hall at 1000 S. Dixie Highway, next to our Campus Bookstore.

The University Counseling Center is located at 125 Okeechobee Hall Next to the Rinker Center for Experiential Learning and the Rinker Companies Office on the west side of Okeechobee Hall).

Hours

Visits are by appointment only, except in cases of acute illness or injury. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment. Office hours for both the Health Center and the University Counseling Center are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

All students attending our West Palm Beach campus are required to complete a Health Information Form. All first-year, full-time undergraduate and international students must have a physical examination and submit a Physical Form, completed by a medical professional within the past 12 months. Students must also submit proof of required immunizations which are stated on the Immunization Form. All international students (or U.S. Citizens born outside of the U.S.) must submit a TB Risk Screening Form in addition to the other forms. All forms must be submitted to the Health and Wellness Center prior to August 1 (for students starting in the spring semester the forms should be submitted prior to December 1). Insurance

All full-time day students (undergraduate, international, and pharmacy) are required to provide proof of health insurance at the start of each academic year. Students will be automatically billed for the student health insurance and receive a credit when their insurance waiver is approved. For more information on the PBA student health insurance plan, including waivers, click here.
