Computer Information Systems (CIS)

The Computer Information Systems program provides basic and advanced skill sets that allows students to be successful in this field by developing an understanding of an organization's current computer systems and procedures, as well as a formulation of recommendations to management. This helps the organization operate more efficiently and effectively. Students will learn countless other skills, including various software programs, mobile, embedded and intelligent systems, and web development. 

This program is based on the Computing Curricula of 2008 project of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the association for Information Systems (AIS) and the Computer Society of the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE-CS).
