The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) has named Palm Beach Atlantic University to the 2014 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. Palm Beach Atlantic was among 766 higher education institutions named to the Community Service Honor Roll, which recognizes institutions that demonstrate relevant and meaningful service and achieve measurable impacts in the community. Palm Beach Atlantic University students have donated more than 2.8 million community service hours since the University’s founding in 1968 through a program called Workship, a University tradition of responding to human needs with Christ-like action. This is the eighth consecutive year in which Palm Beach Atlantic has been recognized with this honor.

PBA-Conniston Partnership Earns Florida Campus Compact Award

Palm Beach Atlantic University is partnering with Feeding Children Everywhere to package 100,000 healthy meals for hungry families in Palm Beach County. Volunteers will hand-package the meals from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Conniston Middle School. Volunteers are still needed. Go to www.feedingchidreneverywhere.com to register for one or more shifts at the “Upcoming Events” tab for the West Palm Hunger Project. JP Morgan Chase Foundation and Conniston Middle School are additional partners for the project.

Nearly 400 Palm Beach Atlantic University students painted homes, worked on landscaping, removed trash, assisted with construction projects and organized children's activities at 10 locations across Palm Beach County on Saturday prior to this week's start of classes.

More than 650 Conniston Community Middle School students and their family members enjoyed an evening of food, physical activity and, above all, learning, during the school’s annual FCAT Family Night on Thursday.

As dozens of their peers left for global projects in Central and South America and the Caribbean during spring break last week, a group of eight Palm Beach Atlantic University students and two staff members remained in West Palm Beach for a unique urban immersion experience.
