Drawing upon his Baptist roots, Quantum Foundation president and guest commencement speaker Eric Kelly began his remarks to Palm Beach Atlantic University's spring graduates on Saturday by singing a song.
Commencement Speaker to Graduates: ‘Go Ye Therefore’

Jodi Touchton of Ocala, Florida, and Hannah Kratz of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, have been named the 2015 recipients of the Servant Leadership Award from Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Eric M. Kelly, church planter, pastor and president of the Quantum Foundation, will be the featured speaker at Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Spring Commencement at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. The event is open to graduates and guests who hold tickets. More than 500 candidates for bachelor’s, master’s and professional doctoral degrees from the West Palm Beach, Orlando, Wellington and online campuses will participate in the ceremony. The event will recognize the first graduates of the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) program.

The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness at Palm Beach Atlantic University has announced the recipients of the University's 2015-2016 Quality Initiative (QI) Faculty and Student Research Grants. The grant cycle runs from July 1, 2015, to June 30, 2016.
University Awards Grants for Faculty, Student Research

Nine students were honored Tuesday as the outstanding graduates of their schools and several others received departmental awards as part of Palm Beach Atlantic University's Honors Day ceremony. The outstanding graduates each receive special recognition during spring commencement on May 9. In addition one faculty member, Associate Professor of Biology Dr. Thomas Chesnes, received the Charles and Hazel Corts Award for Outstanding Teaching.
Students, Faculty Recognized for Excellence on Honors Day

The late Gary Carter, a Major League Baseball Hall-of-Famer who served as Palm Beach Atlantic University's head baseball coach from 2009 to 2012, will be inducted in the University's Sports Hall of Fame at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, April 25, after the ceremony was postponed due to rain last week. The event, which is open to the public, takes place prior to PBA's double-header versus Florida Tech at PBA's Marshall and Vera Lea Rinker Athletic Campus, 3401 Parker Ave., West Palm Beach.

Dr. David Carson, professor of counseling at Palm Beach Atlantic University's Orlando campus, is coauthor of the book "Child Sexual Abuse in India: Understanding and Impacting Individuals, Families and Socio-Cultural Systems."
