Pharmacy Continuing Education Earns Accreditation Extension

The Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy. Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) is a private, accredited, Christ-centered college located in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA. The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Continuing Pharmacy Education Commission and the ACPE Board of Directors recently granted an extension of the provider status held by the Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

The accreditation term granted for the Continuing Pharmacy Education Program is effective through Jan. 31, 2016. The pharmacy school received provider status for continuing education in 2010.

The designation allows the pharmacy school to provide CE credits to all pharmacists across the country according to the ACPE guidelines.

Dr. Mary Ferrill, dean of the Gregory School of Pharmacy, said the extension will allow the school to expand its continuing education offerings.

ACPE is the national agency for the accreditation of professional degree programs in pharmacy and providers of continuing pharmacy education. The mission of the organization is to assure and advance excellence in education for the profession of pharmacy. ACPE is an autonomous and independent agency whose Board of Directors is derived through the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), and the American Council on Education (ACE).
