Three Palm Beach Atlantic University students have been named recipients of the Meredith Barsalou Scholarship.

The endowed scholarship was established in 2005 in memory of the daughter of Dr. Kathleen Barsalou and her late husband Richard. Meredith Barsalou was a 2003 college graduate who passed away unexpectedly in 2004.
Dr. Barsalou is a 1998 graduate of PBA who now is an adjunct professor at the University.
Applicants are required to be full-time students in good standing who demonstrate financial need. Students also must complete an essay describing their personal and academic goals. A selection committee reviews all applications.
This year’s recipients are:
Brent Schweizer of Venice, Fla., a junior majoring in graphic arts with a minor in communications.
Lea Miller of West Palm Beach, a senior majoring in Christian social ministry and minoring in cross-cultural studies.
Megan Bartnick of Zephyrhills, Fla., a freshman. Her major is undeclared.
