Five graduates of Palm Beach Atlantic University’s School of Nursing have received the 2011 Aneice Lassiter Excellence in Nursing Awards.

The recipients are:
Johanne Alexandre of suburban Lake Worth, Lassiter Servant Leadership.
Richter van Vuuren of Boca Raton, Lassiter Academic Excellence.
Stephanie Adams of Columbia, S.C., Lassiter Student Advocacy.
Patricia Fiddelke of Wellington, Lassiter Community Service.
Angela Kuhn of Fort Myers, Lassiter Clinical Excellence.
The endowed awards are named in honor of Aneice Lassiter, wife of the late William G. Lassiter Jr., a longtime former trustee and supporter of the University.
The Lassiters also created the William G. and Aneice Lassiter Endowment for the School of Nursing, and the rotunda in the Warren Library is named for them.
The first Lassiter Excellence in Nursing Awards were presented in 2008. Award recipients each receive $1,000.
