Two signature Palm Beach Atlantic University events traditionally held on Palm Beach will be part of the town's 100th birthday celebration, which begins in December and runs through April.
The first will be the annual Women of Distinction Luncheon, which will be held on Feb. 23, 2011, at The Breakers. This will be the 20th year in which the event, which honors local women for their service and philanthropic achievements, has been held at the historic Palm Beach hotel.
The second is a performance of Fouré's Requiem presented by PBA's Oratorio Chorus and Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. on April 11, 2011, at the Church of Bethesda By-the-Sea. The concert has been performed annually at the church since 1989.
