23rd Alumni Golf Tournament Raises $55,000

The 23rd Annual Palm Beach Atlantic University Alumni Association Golf Tournament held October 2 netted $55,000 for the Association's Scholarship Fund.

More than 140 players participated in the event held at PGA National Resort's Haig and Palmer courses. The winning foursome, John Arrigo, Eric Schreiber, Eric Downs and Mel Boner with the Arrigo team, received Dell net book computers.

Proceeds from the tournament have helped deserving PBA students pay for their college education. The Alumni Association recently awarded 29 annual scholarships, which are renewable by undergraduates who remain in good standing at the University.

Title tournament sponsors include Pepsi Beverages Company, National Management Resources Corporation, Tire Kingdom, The Weitz Company, Templeton & Company, P.A., Saxon Business Systems, Panera Bread and Preferred Printing and Graphics.

The 2011 has been scheduled for Saturday, October 1 at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
