During their visit, Lilly and Rogers met with several legislators, including District 27 Sen. Lizbeth Benacquisto, R-Wellington and Florida House District 97 Rep. Martin Kiar, D-Davie, both PBA alumni. They also met with Florida House District 85 Rep. Joe Abruzzo, D-Wellington and others.

Lilly and Rogers also joined other students and presidents of ICUF institutions for a meeting with Senate President Mike Haridopolos.

"The main thing we wanted to express to the different legislators is that the students at Palm Beach Atlantic University appreciate and support the Florida Resident Access Grant and that the FRAG is something that really helps students with financing for colleges and universities that are of the independent sector," said Rogers, a business management major from Valrico, Fla.

ICUF is a diverse association of 28 private, not-for-profit, educational institutions all based in Florida and accredited by
the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Its Presidential Fellows organize student-led campaigns in support of independent higher education in general and the Florida Resident Access Grant in particular.
