Karl H. Watson, retired president and chief operating officer of Rinker Materials Corporation and consultant for CEMEX, will be the keynote speaker during Palm Beach Atlantic University's 14th annual M.B.A. Awards presentation on Dec. 3. The event, which will be held at 6 p.m. in Vera Lea Rinker Hall on the University's main campus in West Palm Beach, will honor Palm Beach County District 7 Commissioner Priscilla Taylor, a 1999 graduate of PBA's Rinker School of Business, as this year's outstanding graduate of the M.B.A. program.

State Sen. Lizbeth Benacquisto, R-Ft. Myers, has been named Majority Leader of the Florida Senate. A Palm Beach Atlantic University alumna, she has served in the state Senate since 2010 and became the deputy majority leader in 2011.

The Palm Beach Atlantic University Theatre Department will present "A Doll’s House" by Henrik Ibsen at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, through Saturday, Dec. 1, at the University's Fern Street Theatre, 500 Fern St., West Palm Beach. An additional performance will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at the theatre. Tickets are $15 general admission or two for $25; $10 for seniors 65+; and $5 for students with ID. The Palm Beach Atlantic University Salifish volleyball team was announced on Sunday night as one of the 64 participants for the upcoming NCAA Division II Championship Tournament Nov. 29-Dec. 8. The Sailfish claimed the No. 3-seed in the South Region. A long-time power in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), this is the first time the Sailfish have earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

Palm Beach Atlantic University's School of Music and Fine Arts will present an Evening of German Songs (Liederabend) on Thursday, Nov. 29, at 6 p.m. in the Helen K. Persson Recital Hall in Vera Lea Rinker Hall. Admission is free and a reception with authentic German pastries will follow. The event is directed by Dr. Suzanne Galer-Wert, associate professor of voice at Palm Beach Atlantic.

On Wednesday and Thursday, 29.11 Ministries founder Dirk Helmling returned to his alma mater as keynote speaker for this year's Homecoming chapel at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
