Graduating Seniors Offer Advice on Community and Prayer

Palm Beach Atlantic University is a member of the Independent Collegiate Athletic Association (ICAA), which is composed of NCAA Division II schools. The association has announced the All-ICAA teams and post season awards for 2011.

Palm Beach Atlantic University will honor Joyce Sang and Sally Soter as Women of Distinction 2012 at a luncheon Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012 at The Breakers, Palm Beach. A pre-luncheon reception begins at 11:15 a.m.; the luncheon follows at Noon. Tickets, at $150 each or tables of 10 for $1,500, may be obtained from the Palm Beach Atlantic University Development Office by calling 561-803-2971. Proceeds from the luncheon benefit a scholarship fund for deserving female students at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Joyce Licht Sang founded The Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation with her husband, Dusty, after their only child, Ryan, passed away from bipolar disorder in 2004 at the age of 24. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Sally Ross Soter had dedicated her efforts to encouraging the arts and promoting access to healthcare for women. In the Palm Beaches, Soter holds leadership roles in two community arts organizations.

This year the theme is "Places We Have Seen Jesus." While some of the places may be physical, most refer to situations and the places in our hearts where Jesus has come to find us amid pain and darkness. PBA Releases 2011 Advent Guide Online

Through the end of this year, several Pepsi delivery trucks traveling the streets of South Florida will show some Sailfish spirit. Pepsi Beverages Company’s current truck advertising campaign will feature the words "Pepsi salutes PBA Sailfish" and Palm Beach Atlantic University's new athletics logo on 27 route trucks.
