Dr. Alvin Plantinga, considered by many to be the world’s leading philosopher of religion, delivered this year's President's Distinguished Scholar Lecture on "Religion and Science: Where the Conflict Really Lies." About 250 people attended the lecture, which was open to the public. Dr. Plantinga also spoke to students during chapel services this week.

The 24thAnnual Palm Beach Atlantic University Alumni Association Golf Tournament held October 1 netted $57,000 for the Association’s Scholarship Fund. More than 156 players participated on PGA National Resort’s Haig and Squire courses in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The winning foursome, Ken Webb, Greg King, Tom Paton and Terry Taylor, of Minuteman Constructors team finished with the low gross score of 53.

Annual Alumni Golf Event Raises $57,000 for Scholarships

Palm Beach Atlantic University alumni returned to their alma mater for the Fall 2011 Annual Alumni Athletic Men's Soccer and Women's Softball Games, Oct. 8 and 15.

Dr. David Uth, pastor of First Baptist Church in Orlando and president of the Florida Baptist Convention, called on Palm Beach Atlantic students to redefine faith for their generation. Dr. Uth was the guest speaker during chapel services Wednesday.
