Palm Beach Atlantic University hosts its annual President's Distinguished Scholar Lecture in October with Dr. Alvin Plantinga, Emeritus John A. O'Brien Professor of Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Plantinga's lecture titled "Science and Religion: Where the Conflict Really Lies" is free and open to the public Monday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the University's DeSantis Family Chapel.

Recording artist Zach Williams is no stranger to Palm Beach Atlantic University's chapel stage, having played with the chapel band during his years as student. He returns this week to perform during Christival, which begins Wednesday. Joining him are fellow alums Lance Villio, Ryan McDermott and Jason McDonell.
2011 Nursing Class Attains 97 Percent Pass Rate on Exam

The 2011 graduating class of Palm Beach Atlantic University's School of Nursing has achieved a 97 percent pass rate on its first attempt at the national licensing exam, according to Dean Joanne Masella.

NASA Aerospace Education Specialist Les Gold led two workshops for pre-service teachers at Palm Beach Atlantic University on Thursday, allowing about 30 students to become certified to borrow the samples for up to two weeks at a time when they have classrooms of their own.
UFG Partners with University to Support Future Entrepreneurs

The United Franchise Group, a $500 million West Palm Beach franchise organization, has partnered with Palm Beach Atlantic University to help student entrepreneurs start their own business ventures by contributing mentoring and funding toward their visionary concepts. Called J.J.'s Entrepreneurs, the program includes a five-year minimum $75,000 commitment by UFG. It was developed to encourage and teach students about the benefits of entrepreneurship and owning their own business.
