Nine student teams from Palm Beach Atlantic University traveled abroad on mission trips during spring break earlier this month. In all, more than 90 students went to serve communities in such places as Bolivia, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Honduras and Jamaica.

Scholar and author Dr. Lea E. Williams will speak on the topic "Race, Gender and Leadership" during a lecture and awards presentation hosted by the Catherine T. MacArthur School of Leadership at Palm Beach Atlantic University and the PBA Alumni Association at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29, in the University's DeSantis Family Chapel, 300 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach. The event is free and open to the public.

MacArthur Lecture to Explore Race, Gender, Leadership

The Lassiter Rotunda outdoor patio will be named for Beverly Fisher White Yeager in appreciation of her charitable donation of $25,000 in support of the Campaign for the Warren Library at Palm Beach Atlantic University. The Lassiter Rotunda is an expansive, two-story reading room located at the south end of the Warren Library.

The Palm Beach Atlantic University Alumni Association will host the Afternoon Tea and Silent Auction at The Country Club at Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12. Tickets are $75 per person, $50 for alumni who graduated in the last five years. In honor of Mother's Day, attendees may bring their mother or grandmother for $10 off their ticket price. The event benefits the Alumni Association Scholarship Fund. Current sponsors include The Rivard Insurance Agency, Inc., Balatro Gallery, Tiffany & Co. and Regent Bank among others.
