The tournament, which was open to the public, raised money for the Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
The fun began at 7 a.m. with breakfast followed by a helicopter ball drop at 8:15 a.m. A shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. began the tournament where golfers competed on the Champion and Squire courses. In addition to an enjoyable round of golf, participants competed for prizes for the closest-to-the-pin, longest drive and more.
After golf, players will enjoyed lunch and an exciting auction, featuring an array of sports memorabilia and weekend resort packages.
The Alumni Association also hosted a "Mixed-Up" Doubles Tennis Tournament in conjunction with the Alumni Association Golf Tournament.
For more than 25 years proceeds from the tournament have helped deserving PBA students pay for their college education. The Alumni Association recently awarded 35 annual scholarships, which are renewable by undergraduates who remain in good standing at the University.
