Associate Professor of Chemistry
B.S., Northern Illinois University; M.S., Ph.D., University of Southern Mississippi.
Dr. Grawe has been President and CEO of De-Lead Technologies, developer of environmental cleanup products, Vice President of Physiotherapeutix, Vice President of Research for Certeck Corporation, Vice President of Research for Isoteck Corporation for Imperial Coatings and Director of Research for the Mission Coatings division of Allied Signal Corporation.
He has held chemistry faculty positions at Xavier University of New Orleans and Brevard College of North Carolina. He has served as Principal Investigator on sponsored aerospace research from the U.S. Air Force, cancer research at the National Institutes of Health and several chemical companies.
He authored 15 publications on organic/polymer/colloidal chemistry and environmental chemistry. He holds seven U.S. patents and is the sole author of three. He has presented papers at professional conferences, holds membership in an honorary research society and developed a chemistry magic show/chemistry careers presentation, which has been popular with many Palm Beach County high schools.
He is a member of the Royal Poinciana Chapel and serves as the PBA Chapel coordinator for the student scholarship committee, which currently supports 11 PBA students. At PBA, he organized and serves as faculty coordinator of the Pre-Health Admissions Organization and the Marine Biology Dive Club. Currently, he is a member of a Homeland Security research consortium working on new chemical technologies to deactivate chemical and biological warfare agents, and on the cleanup of nuclides from radiological warfare and terrorist devices.
