Dr. Twoey has been in teacher education at the collegiate level since 1992. He was an associate professor of Education at
Dr. Twoey has written numerous articles for various periodicals on character development in teenagers, developing social skills in children and pragmatic education.He has presented papers at educational conferences and workshops including Teaching Academic Survival Skills (TASS) conference, the Florida Association of Colleges and Schools (FACS) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
He was a contributing writer for the “What Works” Survey of the Palm Beach County public schools that looks at what students desire in their learning environment, designed by PBA’s education department. He has also written a grant titled, “Preparing for Middle School” (PMS). He has written several workshops including “Catching Up With Your Daughters,” a seminar for dads with daughters, and “Running With The Wild Mustangs,” a seminar for men’s integrity. He is currently writing a special education textbook and a book on post-modern teens.
Dr. Twoey co-hosts a weekly Bible study for high school boys in his home and has worked extensively with his church's youth group since 1999.
