David Athey is the author of a novel, Danny Gospel (Bethany House, 2008) and a collection of poetry, Hunting and Gathering Heaven (Bellowing Ark Press, 2000). His poems, stories, essays and reviews have appeared in dozens of national literary journals, including Harvard Review, California Quarterly, and The Iowa Review. His haiku have been published in Japan, England, Serbia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States. A collection of essays that he edited, Letters to Love By, was published by Winston-Derek (1995, Nashville). Athey is the founder and faculty adviser of the PBA literary journal, Living Waters Review. He also organizes PBA's Campus Book Club and produces Student Literature Night.
